Step 1: Draw a Rough Sketch

A "rough" is simply a doodle of your room, so don't let the industry term intimidate you. But in this case it has to be drawn to scale, which means the single entrance doorway can't be bigger than your king-sized bed. And of course, be sure to indicate where the doors are and show the direction they open. This will help me visualize the space we are working with.
